Ndhiwa Maarifa Centre - ALIN

Through the close working relations with Arid Lands Information Networks, the two organizations came together under a memorandum of understanding to begin Ndhiwa Marifa Centre.
The Institute for Rural Development leased out three rooms to ALIN so as to facilitate the services offered at Ndhiwa Maarifa Centre. The centre has been of great benefit to this community since the year 2007.
The centre offers services to the community like free internet access, free library services, free basic ICT training, free advisory services, free multimedia access and documentation and dissemination of best practices to farmers.

Seminar facilities

The Institute also has seminar / workshop facilities that are frequently hired out at very low rates with a mission to support the development and growth of the rural society.
A good number of organizations have benefited from these facilities being having their trainings and meetings hosted under these facilities.
The hall has a capacity of accommodating over 80 guests comfortably. The catering services are also available.
The amounts received from the hire of these facilities have been channeled back to the community services provided by the Institute for Rural Development.

Best Medical Services

Institute for Rural Development has one of the best medical facilities in the region of Ndhiwa, Osano Maternity and Nursing Home.
The facility serves a great number the needy community members ranging from the medical to the maternity aspect.
The rates here have been subsidized to enable the low income community members to be able to access medical services just as it is stated in the UN human Convention Rights Charter.
The facility also has a mortuary department, the one and only within Ndhiwa Constituency.
